If the glucose level is in the normal range after the surgery than I
would not use pediapred.  Sorry but I do not think pediapred will
prevent the return of insulinomas!  Pred does not actually work directly
on the insulinoma cells, so pred is not likely to prevent reoccurrence.
Pred keeps the glucose level elevated through gluconeogenesis, inhibiting
utilization of glucose, and with some anti- insulin activity.
