Thank you so much for sharing this link on the FML so that I could
read about Phoenix and, as you asked, celebrate his life. I hope
everyone reads this story. It will make you cry but it will also
lift your spirits and remind you why we love these guys so much.

I've been involved in a few such rescues, and there is nothing I've
ever felt more gratifying than the love of a ferret who has been
brought back from near death. It's so hard to be continually reminded
that we live in a world where so many people mistreat and neglect
animals, but it's also so good to know that there are a lot of people
who care enough to fight against that neglect. I'm so sorry for your
loss of Phoenix, but so glad for the time that he had with you.
