ATTENTION!  The CFMD, (Center for Ferret Math Disease), has issued the
following warning:
 
The disease known as "Ferret Math" has been spreading at an alarming rate.
This disease knows no boundaries.  It has been found in all geographical
locations.  This disease is believed to be highly contagious with no known
treatment or cure.  However, a twelve step program is under consideration.
 
The following list of symptoms is not exhaustive due to the nature of
the disease.
 
You may have "Feret Math if you have any of the following symptoms:
 
1. Uncontrollable urge to get a buddy for your "loner" ferret.
2. Pet store ferrets "call" to you and your heart overrules your
   wallet.  And your brain.
3. You must "even" out uneven numbers.
4. You "need" a ferret of that "color".
5. You only have one female in your business and she needs a friend of
   the same sex.
6. You only have one male in your business and he needs a friend of the
   same sex.
7. You feel sorry for shelter ferrets.
8. You buy a bigger cage and realize you have room for more ferrets.
9. You have an empty hammock that needs using.
10. You find yourself shrugging and saying, "Oh, what the heck.  What's
    one more?"
 
If you or someone you know is afflicted with this malady, try to remain
calm and keep everything in perspective.  After all, they/you could have
a disease that isn't as much fun!

The FLO has not been completely ruled out as a possible vector of this
disease.  If you suspect that you are a victim of the FLO, please report
it to the FML at once.
