It is really not a great idea to decide a dog on breed information
unless you are talking about a recent "pet" breed. Working breeds are
a bit more predictable as far as generic breed traits are concerned.
The best thing to do is get a well socialized dog and then socialize
it more with the ferrets. I would never leave any dog unsupervised
with ferrets for the safety of both. I would probably stay away from
greyhounds since they are bred to chase small animals. Individual
personality and prior experiences are really the key in this decision.
