This is my first posting to the FML.  I have been enjoying the FML for a
long time.  I think it is wonderful as are all of the people and the vets
who are so generous with their time and advise.
 
I have to respond to Austin Owens' posting.  We are the proud parents of a
one year old Marshall Farms female ferret.  She has a wonderful temperament.
We do not have to worry when guest come over.  She is very active and so far
very healthy.  She is very gentle and very smart and just the best.  We
would not hesitate on getting another Marshall Farms ferret if they are
anything like her.
 
I am in the pharmaceutical research business and although I work with human
guinea pigs, I do know of the need to also do animal research as much as we
all dislike it.  Most of the time, it is necessary and done carefully.
