i have ony one who earns his raisins.  the feret king, alpha ferret,
named ratchet.  he is 7 years old and upon being let out of his cage,
patrols the entire house, every door and corner and nook, under all
furniture to make sure nothing is out of place.  he never has played with
anybody, animal or human and if someone is foolish enough to try he will
bite to the bone.  some of the guys follow him around but none interfere
with the king.  including me.  this seems to be his mission in life.
when he gets tired and is sure all is well.  lays done where hes standing
and goes to sleep.
 
ive had ferrets 15 years and never seen anything like him.  he is gentle
to pick up and give meds and to pet but dont try to play with him.
