WHOA CHRIS!! What ferret mailing list?

[The one that's been going on for at least a year, and is officially registered
with Gene Spafford's list of mailing lists. That gets mentioned every
month in Gene's postings. That periodically I drop broad hints about in
rec.pets.... Gotcha!]

How come I didn't know about a ferret mailing list!

[You mustn't have been paying attention ;-) I've seen your postings in
rec.pets (and alt.aquaria I think) for ages. I've dropped many hints during
that time...]

I have two ferrets...that means I should be on a ferret mailing list.

[Actually, that's more than sufficient - the real requirement is that
you have to be *interested* in ferrets.]

Well, I've also had two husbands, and I'm not on a husband mailing list....

[I'm not sure who moderates that one. Certainly not me - I'm a husband...]

so I guess I need other qualifications?

[Nope]

For real, Chris. How can I get on a ferret mailing list? I
can't even send you mail...it bounces.

[You're on the list now. You should be able to get stuff to the list
simply by mailing to "att!lsuc!eci386!ferret-request". See the stuff
at the end of this item for more info.]
