I have tried both of these. I did not find that the spot on like bio
spot worked on the kids. I did find that advantage and frontline work.
I live in Florida so there are fleas at all time of the year. For mites
I have use ivormectin a drop in the ear. A tiny drop mind you. I have
tried the different products out there and have found the drop per pound
of advantage or frontline works very well to keep the fleas off. I have
10 ferrets and have tried the different ones. With the advantage it
seems to work for 3 weeks. The frontline seems to work for the full four
weeks as long as I don't give them a bath. I also do not put it on right
after a bath. This is due to no oils of their own to help it spread. If
they get a bath I do use Marshalls spray on all the bedding and then give
them the frontline two days after baths. I do not give baths that often
unless they get into something. I usually bath them every 5 to 6 months.
I have let them play in water in between so that they only get a rinsing.
The soap takes off the oils and then they make more . I do the same with
my skunks also. They also get frontline on them. I have found it is
cheaper to buy the big dog size and do the drop for every pound and half
pound so if one weighs in at 1.8 oz they get two drops. It has worked
well on all the kids. I have to watch that the cats and dogs are done
too so that they do not bring any fleas in the home to the ferrets. I
have been using this for the past year and so far so good. I am sure
others will respond to this post also.

Happy dooking and wardances to all. Hug your fuzzies everyday time is to
short with them.

My 10 and 2 never forgotten at the bridge.
