Hi, thank you to everyone who wrote to me to help me out with skunk. He
still isnt making any noises, but I think that if he were around other
ferrets, he might learn to. Does anyone know of any ferret clubs or
organizations in New York, preferably in the Albany area? Also, im hoping
to get Skunk a new cage in about a month or so. Right now he is in a two
level cage, with a steel pan and wire body and ramps. THe one Im going to
get has a plastic pan, with a wire body, but plastic ramps and plastic
landings. it is four levels high, and it comes with two tubes. once i get
this, i wont have any more use for the cage i have right now. So if anyone
knows of a ferret shelter in the Albany area, I would be glad to donate his
old cage. If not, i will just donate it to the humane society. just a
little side note now on my little man...yesterday he learned how to climb
up onto my plant stand, and while i was downstairs cleaning out his
litterbox, he was busy pulling out freshly sprouted basil! I came back in
the room, and he looked so sweet and inoccent, standing in a big pile of
dirt...all three terra cotta pots somehow were dragged under my dresser,
along with the sprouts. he hadnt eaten them, just pulled them out and hid
them. some of the roots were still attached, im not really sure how he did
that! i wonder, could this be the start of a ferret greenhouse? well im
gonna go have a nice day everyone!

love kristin and skunk
