This is kinda a conglomeration of the past couple of FML's....reading all,
but can't seem to get my lazy b*(( out of bed in the morning to actually be
able to have to time to actually put in my .02's..
 
First I'd like to say that I am sending my deepest sympathies to Bob Church.
My mother passed away September before last and after two years of taking
care of her it was still a shock.  At a time like this, Bob, even "I'm
sorry" does not express enough...since joining the FML, I've enjoyed reading
your posts (and your daughter back at you!) and "wisdom" and know that
there's a heck of alot of people on here that care for you very, very much,
and all of their thoughts and prayers are with you, - as well as mine...
 
Second, in response to the "purpose of ferrets" I've had people tell me that
"if I put an egg down on the floor that *MY* ferrets would punch a lil hole
in them and suck out the inside"..my reaction?  I said BULL!  So, naturally,
to prove a point, I had to try it....not that it would make a different to
me whether MY/ANY ferret does this or not...I'd just have to say "hey, you
guys, your pretty TALENTED", but, I just had to see.
 
Colours rolled it around for awhile and got bored, Morrow completely ignored
it....
 
Third, HECK!  I'd like to see my little Morrow eat a little bit more...
(she's a little fuzzbucket) The current "food war" going on in here passes
right by my house.  Morrow eats her high pro kitten food (I can't remember
the name but a fert owner told me about it) and refuses to eat ANYTHING
else.  I've tried raisens.  (how in the heck do you spell it?) I can coax
her out of her hidey hole with a cookie, but to eat it?  No WAY!:} She will
not even eat "ferret food".  The ONLY thing she will eat besides her
breakfast/lunch/dinner menu is FRUIT LOOPS....She is more interested in
stealing my daughter's birthday presents (a barbie bike for barbies) and
stashing it away under the couch...
 
Last, please, either I am extremely dense, or someone needs to explain this
distempter thing to me, 1 2 3.  I am, without a doubt, confused.
 
Morrow is coming due for her distempter.  She had one a year ago and I was
told that she would need a yearly vaccination.  I have come to the
conclusion that this is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG.
 
Please, someone tell me, 1 2 3 (simple terms) - I take her in, she gets one,
then two weeks later gets another?  So, me believing she was "covered" she
is not?  Melanee sent me a GREAT e-mail regarding "doing it myself or vet"
and has me totally convinced that Morrow and anyone else will forever and
here on out GO TO THE VET for the shots... But, I'm having a rough time
keeping up with this shot routine...
