This is a quick note through one of Steve's addresses, since he was up and
we only have one line for e-mail at home.

Today for about three hours w thought Meltdown was going to die, but she
bounced back. Her ventricular arrthymia began kicking up and she went into
two bouts of syncope. The first was very long. Then she came around.

Today she began Winstrol-V to make her more comfrotable and to help her eat
and drink. As with Ruffle it worked beautifully once it began working. We
recommend this to those with terminal ferrets or those whose survival is
questionable as long as it is counterindicated for any reason. She's begun
eatting mush again and drinking well.

'Chopper, the organic helicopter did the most amazing thing today. First
off, this is the same ferret who last year removed all the blue baubles from
the tree, and who likes wearing collars (but Spot likes to take them off her
while she sleeps and he hides them). Okay, I know ferrets are NOT supposed
to be able to see blue. If that's true then let's just say she likes what
she perceives as the ultimate neutral color. Anyway, Neither Steve nor I
had seen any of her blue collars in a few days, and during this afternoon we
had not seen HER for fifteen minutes. When we did find her she had a collar
on, and neither of us had put it on her, nor were there any other humans in
the house. Somehow she had put on her own collar!!!! You KNOW she got
whipped cream for that. Now if we can get her to do it on command we'll
record it in the future.
