Hi everyone!
 
This is my first time writing FML, as I just got hooked up to the list this
week.  I enjoy reading everyones questions, comments..and stories... I am
also sorry to hear about KODO...we had a similar situation in my area..
{upper New York}
 
First of all I have a few questions..
 
what is the deal with the auctions?  and how do you bid and how is
everything..done?     [I'll respond.  BIG]
 
next...what is a DEW ferret?
I have one fuzzy, she doesn't hava any tattooes on her ears..I rescued her
from some dare i say it...relatives..  who were starving her..emotionally
and nutritionally.  They in turn had taken her from someone who had
purchased her from a pet shop..and then her son had abused her...go figure
She was emaciated..and had a BIG problem with feet...she is a bit tender in
the hip area and had a problem eating which leads me to conclude she was
probably kicked.  But after a while of being in my care..she no longer fears
feet..or bites them..and is the happiest little ferret around..
 
I am also involved in starting up a ferret club in the Binghamton NY area..
Called S.T.U.F.F { Southern Tier United Ferret Friends} and we are
endeavering to start a small ferret rescue... We haven't had many calls for
surrendering ferrets..{I guess that is good}
 
So, I am looking to adopt another ferret...was hoping to do so through the
ferret club but everyone loves their fuzzies here!  I am interested in a a
Blaze, Panda,..Cinnamon..or the new Wheat color!  It's not that I can't
afford another..its just that i would like to have an older ferret....My
little girl is a Butterscotch Sable and about 2 yrs old..best i can figure.
I work at an Animal Hospital as a Tech...and my little fuzzy has a two story
home..which can be made into a three story at any time..{figured out how to
attach cages} and she has 5 cats and a little dog who absolutely adores her
to play with now but would like her to have a snuggle buddy.
 
So, if you live in New York..or nearabouts...and can't keep your fuzzy..drop
me a line...also..in my ferret club there are others who wish to adopt!
