I was floored when I read your post about the cost of petstore ferrets.
 
Now, it may be that Marshall Farms is only 40 minutes from Rochester, so
transport costs are significantly lower, but in this area, petstore
ferrets go for $99.00.  While it used to be that silver mitts were $130,
specialty colors seem to be in $100 ballpark figure as well today.
 
These ferrets, of course, are neutered/descented and have had 1 vaccination.
