I am writing Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my husband and I have have a 7
month old ferret named FARRAH that we love dearly. She has bonded with
both of us very well, but for the first few months she was not extremely
affectionate. That all changed when we went on holidays. We were camping
in the mountains and in the evenings Farrah would get chilly. I was
wearing a polar fleece jacket with a t-shirt underneath, and the little
thing would love to crawl in between the layers and fall asleep. The
jacket had tight elastic on the bottom so that it formed a little warm
pouch for her. I could walk around or sit down - it didn't matter to
Farrah. When she woke up, she would ride around in there with her head
poking out under my chin. We were very popular with the children in the
campground! Most had never seen a ferret. Ever since that time, Farrah
has been the most affectionate little thing ever.

By the way, I would love to get in touch with any other ferret owners in
Alberta!
