I am posting for this for a shelter mom who has taken in five ferrets
that have not been descented. She is trying to adopt them out but of
course no one wants a ferret that "stinks". I know I know- they aren't
all that bad. As many times as she has explained this to people, they
don't buy it. So she has decided that she is getting them descented in
hopes of increasing their chances of being adopted. The only problem is
that she lives in a small town and the vet that she uses (also works
for)has very little experience with ferrets. He learns all he knows from
this lovely shelter mom. The vet will not perform the surgery b/c he
does not know anything about it. I know Dr. Williams posts here. Could
he possibly get in contact with this vet and let him know how to perform
the surgery? Or is there a book about ferret anatomy that this vet could
read?

Thanks for your time and have a great day!!
