Well, the most accepted North American term is "a business of ferrets",
but I have also heard "a fastening of ferrets" in the UK...I am currently
attempting to determine which, or if both are correct, and would be
interested in any academic data that anyone might have to share on the
subject (with references, please).  I have so far studied English texts
referring to ferrets as far back as AD1398, but am having trouble finding
any that refer to multiple ferrets except as "ferrets"...no pre 20th
century group names yet.
