Hi Everyone..

I would like to say THANK YOU to the quiet ferret folks who have come so
softly to our aid of late.. I do not tell names unless I have asked first..
but they know who they are and we all know these folks are out there..

We had a fire.. and if not for Jason Poole, our so kind trucker, insisting
I put up Y2K water against pump failure out here due to elec co. problems
in the change over we would all have gone up with our home.. it took 23 of
the 25 two liters on the front porch to stop this fire and get the still
burning plastic hauled out to the lawn.. it was very very close as had it
gotten into the wall or ceiling it would have flashed on the dust up in
the ceiling and taken the whole mobile home.. and I was NOT leaving the
fuzzies.. so we killed the fire or we went up together.. me and the kids
and the very old dogs and the silly rabbit that loves ferrets and all...
the vol. fire dept came when I had just gotten the last of it outside..
unlike a regular house a mobile home goes up in minutes.. the fuzzies are
fine and altho it took forever to get the soot out of my white hair and off
my skin and out of my lungs.. we are all fine.. the losses were of
medicines and blankies and winter hammies and food and soft toys.. the
bins fused in the flames into solid wrecks.. nothing was salvageable..

And I only shared the info that there had been a fire with a couple
people.. fire is scary.. and I did not want folks feeling sorry for
us.. we are alive and well and no structural damage was done.. we were
incredibly fortunate.. or very well watched over by a Higher Power.. I
will take the later view.. always.. but softly and with no fanfare there
has been a little internet angel.. 'M' who has very discretely informed
her personal net of buddies of the fire and losses.. and one at a time
little to big boxes have come with new blankies and soft comfy hammies..
and clean cloths for feeding the sick kids by hand.. our personal hospital
of permanent residents is now at ten.. these folks have been the saving
of us.. and the folks at the Ferret Store also have very quietly been
channeling this and that to us.. from broken bags of foods to toys they
seem to have had to spare.. Please know.. every one of you who have
helped is very cherished here and in our God Bless every night. I and
the kids are very grateful to these special people for their quiet and
dignified sending of help when we were under stress from trying to handle
everything at once and still keep the kids fed and warm and happy.

Ferret Folks are indeed a special bunch of people! Thank You more than I
can say...
