My Belle ripped out one of her claws once. I got the bleeding to stop
pretty quickly, and took her to the vet. He gave me an ointment called
Tritop I believe, which has 3 ingredients: an local anesthetic to relieve
pain, an anti-inflamatory (her knuckle was swollen) and an antibiotic.
She limped a bit for a day or so and then was fine.

Since ferrets step in litterboxes, I strongly recommend an antibiotic
ointment at least.
