I need your input urgently!  My baby is a 1 1/2 year old male cinnamon
ferret.  On Sunday he became very lethargic and slept off most of the day.
I also noted that he had a fever.  I force fed him food and water mixed
with Gatorade.  He seemed better.  On Monday, his condition got worse and
took him to the vet.  He definitely has an infection - white blood count is
off the meters!  His films show that there is very little chance of bowel
obstruction.  His temp was at 106.  The vet has him on antibiotics and is
giving him fluids.  His temp is down to 103.5.  Does anyone know what could
be the cause?  I am so scared that he might not come through.  Please help!
