I think I've got this one figured out. :-)
 
Have you seen those tiny hot dogs in the jars?  Take one out and look
closely at it.  Now take off your shoes and socks and look at your toes.
See any similarity?  Ack!  There's tiny hot dogs attached to my feet! ;-)
 
No wonder ferrets nibble toes.  Can you imagine their surprise when they
realize it isn't a tiny hotdog!
