A correction to my post regarding insulinoma meds.

In my post from Thursday, February 21, 2013 I noted a dosage of 0.005cc
twice per day, this is incorrect, I was typing too fast.

The proper dosage of transdermal prednisone would be concentrated to an
administration of 0.05cc twice per day, for a total of 0.1cc per day.
Whatever mg/mL your ferret needs, should be compounded to the ratio of
"per 0.1cc" per day. ( Example: 3 mg/mL ) that way when administering
0.05cc twice per day, at the end of the day the ferret has received the
full 3mg/mL (mL is equal to cc to help with any confusion)

This really is a much better way of administering prednisone, not every
ferret will respond the same to transdermal, there are variables which
can play into this. But for most of these furkids it works very well
and actually much better than oral prednisone.
