Support Our Shelters will no longer run raffles to support the ferret
shelters. First PayPal and then other payment processors banned the use
of their services for raffles. There are state laws to consider, with
a wide variation in how they look at raffles, and there are online
gambling/games-of-chance laws. If we confined ourselves to accepting
checks by mail, we would not sell enough tickets in this electronic
age.

So we thank everyone who has so generously donated items to be raffled,
and everyone who has purchased raffle tickets -- some faithfully raffle
after raffle whether they win or not. They just love to support the
shelters.

We also thank Kathy Hammond, the SOS Raffle Queen, for running so many
raffles. And Lisa Oestereich, who stepped up to run raffles and provide
great prizes. And Susann Thiel who worked alongside Lisa for a time,
also donating prizes.

So much time, effort, love and money has been generously given from by
our supporters and the people who run the raffles.
