This is just a quick note about the discussion concerning allergies to
ferrets.I had allergy tests about 7 years ago and was told that I was
allergic to nearly everything except most food.I am allergic to all of my
pets which include dogs, ferrets, birds, horses and a cat. They tried the
allergy shots, but I had such a bad reaction, that I was told I couldnt
have the shots while I had animals in the house. However, since that time
I have taken two very effective medications that have really kept my
allergies under control.Anyone with animal allergies should ask their
doctor about allegra and flonase. If it works as well for you as it has for
me, you may not have to place your ferrets.

Other non-medical solutions are regular vacuuming and bathing the pets
with plain water once a week.I am extremely allergic to cats and had a
real problem with my daughter's newly acquired cat.She bathes the cat
once a week using no shampoo and the results are amazing.
