Hello everyone. I am hoping someone can assist me. I live in Nassau
County, Long Island. One of my ferrets has been losing his hair, some on
the very tip of his tail, but mostly it is just thinning out a LOT on his
back. The vet I am using doesn't seem very concerned that it might be
adrenal disease. He claims that when ferrets get older, some of them
develop a "baldness pattern". I asked about a blood test, but he claims
there are no "normal limits" established, so it would be impossible to
tell. I would love to take him to a vet who might be more of an expert on
ferrets, but don't know where to find one. Does anyone know of one near
me that I could try? Thanks so much!
