Hey guys! How are you all? Things are progressing here. I decided on a
name-- Hershey. She just *seems* like a Hershey. The biting is getting
much better, and TWICE today I left her room without a single bite! I'm
very happy. I discovered that she likes Ferretone very much, but she has no
interest in cherry tomatoes. I'll try out a few more treats later. We are
having a few problems, though.

I'm having trouble finding games she wants to play. She likes catch the
towel, but you can only play that for so long. Whenever I try to chase her
or wrestle with her, she scampers backwards, away from me really quickly. I
think she thinks I'm going to hurt her or something. I also don't feel too
comfortabe playing certain games with her, because I'm worried she'll bite
my face if it gets close to her. She's drawn blood with her biting twice
already. Does anyone have suggestions for some other games I can try with
her?

Oh yeah. How often should I clean her ears? They don't seem particularly
dirty, I'm just curious. Today I brought her downstairs on a leash and let
her explore. I can't let her do it on her own because there are so many
wires and stuff. But she can come down with me. And she does have her own
room. I want to try to fert-proof *my* room so she can come in and explore.
But I have lots of electrical cords. Can it be done?

I bought her a "couch pouch". It's this swinging, cozy bag that hangs from
the cage ceiling. Hell, *I'd* love to play in this thing. But Hershey
won't even try it. I tried putting her in, and she bit me (big surprise).
What a waste of $20! Oh well, maybe she'll grow to love it (yeah right).
I'm in the process of making her a hammock, maybe she'll like that more.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Oh, one more thing. She scratches at the
carpet in front of the door. But never when I'm in there! How do I stop
that? And thanks to everyone who responded to my question about descenting.
It turned out not to matter, because Hershey is already descented. But I
really appreciated all the letters, and now I'll know for if (when) I ever
get another fuzzy! Thanks all!
