UNA EARS and the ASPCA were the places that most wanted a group of us
to provide lists of vets who could treat ferrets and other "exotics" in
the states hit by Hurricane Katrina, the neighboring states, and some
states to which a number of evacuees went. There were about 6 of us who
worked to provide such lists at the time and succeeded in providing
them for the requested states. Jackie Hawley was an absolute dynamo in
the number of states she did for it, BTW.

That project began through the IFC and the FHL. These days continuing
to compile comprehensive lists for other states would probably be bet
done through FERRET, a division of the IFC and maybe with the master
list continuing to be at
http://ferrethealth.org/vets/
which is organized in the same way as the rescue organizations were
planning to compile their vet files.

and then follow the directions.
(The second is recommended for those having problems with Yahoogroups
web settings, and afterward send a blank mail from your subscribed
address to

to get the digest instead of individual mails. )
