I am sure that neither Pam nor anyone who has contributed to the medical
sections of the FAQs ever intended for them to replace a trip to the vet for
an animal who is sick or especially one who is in pain.  The FAQs are to
help us understand the ferrets' health problems.  They can also educate a
vet who is not experienced with ferrets when there is not an experienced
ferret vet around.
 
Please print the FAQs, read the FAQs and give a copy to your vet.  But
**always** take a sick fuzzy to the vet immediately.  Waiting even a day has
cost some ferrets their lives.
