I was reading the FML posts about the Harry Potter movie. The feeding of
the ferrets was something I was aware of from reading the books but let
me tell you of one author that I swear to God has it in for the little
fur balls. Dean Koontz. I read this author voraciously and I swear to
God in almost every single book he makes terrible references to ferrets
and weasels. I have seriously considered writing the guy and asking him
what his problem is?? (LOL) Dean is my favorite writer and he is a dog
lover extraordinaire. Any fan of his will know by seeing his pic on
the back of his books and he usually poses with his Labrador retriever,
Trixie. He uses dogs a lot in his plots. But the 'ferret bashing' has
GOT to go.

I could just see Dean opening my letter if indeed it ever made it to
his desk. I would send him a Maltese Ferret Penny, some terrific ferret
magnets, a ferret magazine for the novice, AND a few URL's for him to
research. He does a lot of research before he writes a book and he is
probably just not aware of how wonderful fur balls are. Time for me to
stop rambling.
