In short HSUS and ASPCA authorities want to inform pet owners of
problems with microchips sold through PetsMart and Banfield Pet Hospitals
( operating within PetsMart stores) cannot be read by HomeAgain or Avid
microchip readers.  Those owners who have obtained these microchips under
the false pretense that there pets might be returned if lost are victims
of deception & fraudulant claims.
 
In short if your ferret has been microchipped at one o these locations
you can demand a refund.  For more information please click on the above
