This same problem occurred several years ago up and down the east coast.
Many ferrets were lost to this "Mystery Disease" My shelter lost five.
Now something similar seems to be coming back.  I have received some
question if I knew anything about Clostridium perfringens Which seems to
have been diagnosed in a few of these ferrets and treatment options are
being explored.  I don't know if this is true or not just what I have
been asked about and told.
