Since October 2005, I have made 20 posts. Some were to explain or
answer questions, some were to let folks know what we were selling,
eBaying, raffling. Some to encourage folks to get involved with any
shelter, one to encourage people to take the FML moving from one server
to another as an opportunity to reflect and perhaps mend a friendship
that has been thrown aside due to a difference of opinion. In many, I
came out and asked for volunteers, homes, and ideas.
I am not out there begging all the time. I am not always asking the
community to "bail the shelter out." I didn't send out begging when we
got a ferret that needed a bone marrow transplant, I didn't send out
begging when we had a ferret that a CITY had in their animal program
came in and needed blockage surgery, and a tumor removed from his
liver. I did not post when we had three ferrets dumped that were half
frozen that spent 5 days in intensive care. I did not post when we went
in an abandon home and came out with six adrenal ferrets that were
starved. I did not post when I had two ferrets brought to me dead. I
did not post any of that asking for help. Maybe to whine, but not for
funds. I did post in wonder about why someone would throw a ferret out
of a moving car on a freeway.
I do post and beg the community to get involved with their local
shelter, and if there isn't one close to choose on, ANY one and help,
even if they only send $0.50.
I have posted many times asking for IDEAS to get the LOCAL community
involved. Ideas for fundraisers that would be simple.
If asking for ideas is asking to be "bailed out" then I am guilty as
charged.

I thought that having other shelters logo's, clubs and rescues on the
wall of the shelter building would show the local community that there
is a ferret community. Tiles were at cost, no profit.
