Lisa, I know how you feel.  It's hard and yes very hard on the wallet and
the hardest part is losing them.  They just don't live long enough.  I
wish they had the life expectancy and health of a cat.  For now, I've
decided that when the ones I have now are gone I will only have one or
two, compared to the 12, I now have ( 5 scheduled for having cryosurgery
with DR Dutton at Weare Animal Hospital in NH, the 23rd of this month-
thank God for charge cards!!!!).  I have 3 I know are adrenal, 1 not sure,
1 insolinoma-my gentle giant,overweight, vocal albino," Bear."  All but
one having surgery are 6 years old, -I have one that is only 2 years of
age!  Anyway, I had said I would never get anymore ferrets, but seriously
thinking about it, I don't think I could live without one or two in my
life!  I would definitely set some serious money aside though ahead of
time if I could afford to but I don't see that happening either!
 
Does anyone know what happened to the ferret that had the bloody nose?  I
am curious, because a while back, one of my older ferrets developed one
after a bout with ECE and was rushed to my vets, put on IV's,etc. but
didn't make it.
