Rocky has had a change of behavior come over him that concerns me. First
off his appearance, eating, bms, etc are perfectly normal. He has no odd
behaviors at all. His past history is that he came into a petstore
entirely too young and got Pneumonia with infected eyes (they never opened
til he was well). He endured very high fevers. It was miraculous that he
even lived. He was playful when I got him from the shelter and was playful
til about 6-8 weeks ago (not too long after we introduced Laddie into the
cage.. a young energetic kit). Now, today, he plays up to an hour and
then goes back into the cage and sleeps. He sleeps all day. He wakes up
in the evening to play for only 2 hours.

Poor Rocky seems to be on the bottom wrung of the social order here. He
has poor motor, can't climb 18 inches, jump well, he runs like a seal, and
when he ferret wrestles he charges with his head down like a bull exposing
his neck. Then he wonders why he is scruffed and beaten so easily. Out of
the cage he and Laddie are constantly at it but they don't hurt each other.
Laddie seems to always win though and is dominant as young as he is. What
can I do to help him.. is he depressed? I want to try things here first
before going throught the expense of a full vet work up with invasive
bloodtests and such.

Please let me know of any suggestions of what could be wrong, or what to
try. thank you so much
