I had a thought a few months ago and thought I would through it out to the
rest of you. The sum of it is that, in general, the "ferret lobby" look for
allies in the "dog lobby" and the "cat lobby". In reading about the various
battles in state legislatures, it seem that the real movers and shakers
among the anti-ferret forces would gladly out law all companion animals if
they thought they could get away with it.

Ferret organizations making in roads into organizations of other companion
animals could strengthen our position and make theirs even more secure.

Like I said, it's just a thought.
