Yes, there is another ferret food out there that's less expensive.  Pam
Grant told me about this one -- it's Mazuri and it's made by Purina.  You
might have to get a feed store in your area to order it.  I think a great
big HUGE bag, which I still have after a period of some months, cost around
$24-$25.  Of course, I mix it with high-quality cat food or Marshall Farms
or Totally Ferret or whatever else I happen to have around that's good for
my ferrets.  That way, they get some variety.
 
Of course, they really like the kitty junk food ...
