Does anyone have any information about the validity of this statement?
 
"Keep in mind that once you open a bag of naturally preserved foods you
allow air into the bag and the fat in the food starts to oxidize and go
rancid.  As a general rule of thumb, naturally preserved pet foods should
be consumed within 3 or at the most 4 weeks from the time the bag is
opened."
