Hello all.
Charlotte and Kitka had *something* last summer which could have been ECE.
Our vet looked at all the info from the FML, FAQ, etc. & is not convinced
that it was actually ECE, but it was something similar in symptomology
regardless. What do we do if we decide to get an additional ferret someday?
At present we do not hold or touch any other ferrets, and no ferrets are
allowed to come over anymore :(. (We suspect they caught it from a 16 week
old ferret named Phoenix who was here once to play). Our girls had a hard
time with whatever it was and lost a lot of weight. They are fine now but
are still under their pre-illness weights. We don't want to expose them to
anything, and would not want to expose a new ferret to something either
(suppose our girls are carriers of whatever it was?). I assume we just
cannot get another ferret while we have these two bundles of joy, but am
wondering about alternatives.

Thanks.
