While the new clumping type litters may save a little time on pan maintenance
 I think the other clay types may be safer for carpet sharks that tend to
burrow (or "root") through the stuff. A friend of mine's ferret got some of
the finer stuff in her nostrils and it clumped there. Too much to be simply
sneezed out, the little jill pawed at it until her nose bled. To no avail...
A trip to the vet was needed to tweeze the obstruction out.
 
On another note - here's another strange medical condition for you vet-med
majors... it even has Dr. Brown at Midwest Bird & Exotic Animal Hospital
perplexed... DIABETIC INSULINOMA. Sounds like an oxymoron... but one onf thr
GCFA members' ferrets (the Presiden't actually) has it. She's a blind
geriatric.
 
The GCFA's annual Christmas Party will be on Sunday, December 13th. If you
would like more info I'll post the What & Where here later...
