Hi April

My Buddy was on Lasix for over two years for a heart problem. It gave
him very good quality of life, even though he had several other health
issues too.

My vet suggested a small piece of banana daily to help replace the
potassium lost with extra urine output. By a *small piece* think a
thumb nail size square.

Buddy loved this treat, and would sit by the cabinet till he got his
morning banana.

Another suggestion that later saved his life when he began to block
from a prostate cyst was to use white paper towels instead of litter or
newspaper. You can monitor the amount of urine, as well as the color.
Poop color too.

I now use paper towels for all my ferrets.

Best to you and the Lasix kids, I'll bet they do well for quite some
time.

Ardith
