(Sorry for the delay - and thanks for the well wishes, concern, etc.)

Miss Casey is holding her own since Tuesday's surgery for stump pyometra
and left adrenal gland surgery on the 9.5yo. She came home with me Tues.
afternoon, I worked from home Weds to post-op. It's Sat. night, and she
is ok.

Dr. Dan Hudson/Northwoods AH of Cary, NC, said it was the longest ferret
surgery he's done - two hours (he's done a total of five for me in 10
years on two other ferrets).

Make a fist in (female) hand - that's the size of "growth" that was cut
out of her - size of an orange. And I was just thinking she was gaining
ounces not playing with me for the past few weeks! I got to see the
excised growth - very nasty - looked like a little heart/internal body
part with a green stump. Thanks for the calls and emails... As with my
other girls, I print and keep your emails in their files to remind myself
how much I appreciate the ferret community.
