This is a series "spun-off" of a series of movies of the same title
starring Marc Singer.  The television series stars Daniel Goddard as Dar
who has the capability to talk with and understand animals.  He has four
regular companions: Ruh, a Tiger; Sharak, an Eagle; and Kodo & Podo, two
sable Ferrets.  Although the ferrets do not appear in every episode, they
do appear quite frequently.
 
The website is www.beastmaster.com.  You can view the television listings
for your area (here it is on WGN Sundays).  One hesitation I have with
sharing this is they make the statement "Kodo and Podo are actually
portrayed by many different ferrets.  Most ferrets look similar, so it's
not obvious when we use a different one." This forum has been so touchy
lately I can imagine the website receiving several emails "re-educating"
the producers of the series.  Enjoy the television show - the ferrets are
never protrayed in a negative manner - and forgive their ignorance.

(Negative confrontation serves no useful purpose - it inevitably causes
more disruption.  As of late many have been unable to enjoy this forum
which is very disappointing as I have met friends on here as well as
received invaluable tips such as putting ferretvite on their tummies to
get them to hold still while trimming nails.  Life is much too short and
miserable as it is - do we really need to make it worse intentionally or
can we please resume having this forum as a pleasant distraction?)
