With a grateful heart i held Markie Mark for the last time tonite. He
was assisted to the bridge at 11.50 pm.

Markie came us by way of Gimmee Shelter Ferret Rescue around 2 years ago-
an adrenal OLD boy, bald to the gills and in need of a loving caring home
in which to live out what ever time he had left. We fell in love with
him took him home and opt to proceed with Lupron for a period of time.
He grew back a beautiful coat and for a long time showed no real signs
of the disease within.. Then a few months ago the signs came back but
Lupron would not buy him any more time.. He had his last Camping trip
last week and upon coming home he just wanted to sleep and lost interest
in anything else. Today he was very unsteady and weak.. We spoke to his
Vet and decided he was too tired to go the nite and the best place for
him was with his Buddies at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for him.. We are
so Grateful to Jan at Gimmee Shelter for all the kids we have taken that
were passed over or just not healthy enough to place. Markie will live
on in our hearts as all the kids do..

SANDI-watch for the bald head coming through the gates!! He is certainly
a different looking fellow!! Rose @ LFFR
