These are some of the most beautiful ferrets you have laid eyes on and
there will be pictures in an album soon.

Want to give a HUG of a thank you to Winchester and Remington, those
cute little pistols, for their allowance and bedding with toys. Of
course, honorable mention goes to Virginia Lassanske for filling out
the check for them.

Petsmart has been with our vet and is going to pay for
spaying/neutering and rabies shots. They sent many different types of
foods plus cute toys, hammocks and ferratone. Libby Nelson is fowarding
a wonderful donation to the vet to help with the expenses Petsmart is
not covering.

TOTALLY FERRET BLESS YOU. We got two boxes of food with a personal note
from April and the staff. When we gave them their TF, they chowed down
like it was the best stuff they ever had.

Home Again is donating microchips. I have been microchipping for going
on 3 years and it is the most wonderful tool in running a rescue - it
helps identify one black sable from another, one albino from 20 others,
and it helps us keep bonded pairs, sets, together as here they have
free roam to play and start their new life. Of course, the Rainbow
ferrets have to be caged till their "hormone" level is lowered.

We have some surgeries and medical care expenses, all are on meds for
coughing - they arrived in cedar, and some had infected injuries from
fighting. The laundry - oh the laundry, the washer is going from first
thing in the morning till at least 10 or 10:30 at night. They are not
potty trained as they had lived on wires where it would drop below and
easy to clean, no dirty blankeys to worry about but we are working on
it and they are beginning to understand - the bedding gets horribly
soiled in one day, they topple over the potty boxes, (inside tip - buy
stock in auto clamps, we are buying out the stores to hold the boxes
down ). We had to go ahead and buy potty boxes to fit the type of cages
they are in and lots and lots of litter. I am buying soap and Odor Ban
in the big containers from Sam's.

We are expecting a shipment of crockbowls and I can't wait, these kids
have nothing better to do that push those bowls around and turn them
upside down. I take that back, they do have something better to do, and
that is twirl the potty boxes around while laying on their backs. We
have some serious bitters - surprising the boys are angels, the girls,
well what I can say, they are girls. But locals here have been coming
in to handle them and they are getting gentled fast.

Thank you all for your contributions and well wishes. Thank you to
Debby Osborn from San Antonio of SAFE rescue for coming and spending a
week, working herself to a little stub - she was less than 5' when she
started and now we can't even see her. THANK YOU to Jimi and Staci of
Houston Area Ferret Association for coming to help and all the goodies
and cleaning supplies they brought. Laneta Robillard is here doing the
record keeping, Nancy is coming in from La to help clean, local people
have spend HOURS cleaning and handling ferrets (remember how I talked
about odors). Lisa Oestereich on her own has made a contribution that
will really help towards the large vet bill not covered by Petsmart,
WOW.

You all are wonderful.
