Steve and I had plans to add a silvermitt this year, but with so many
medical problems over and over among older relatives (esp. both of our
dads) we let the breeder* we'd planned to get a kit from know that we
just can not travel for anything except family needs. Enough people
here know what I mean; it's just the age bracket.

Well, I guess that one way or another we were fated to have a gray
silvermitt for our silver anniversary because a little local-ish 3
month+ girl has been with us for a few days now. Although Alex jokingly
called her "Quicksilver" Steve has named her Telemna -- meaning "Made of
Silver Light". She is very much a Daddy's girl (Knows who the push-over
is...) and Steve is completely smitten! It is great seeing them together
(Steve has the most wonderful smile and laughter).

Hubble has been the baby until now and he knows that we want him to be
gentle, so he has come up with a creative approach for when she bugs him
too much. It is right out of teenage "Summer by the pool" movies! He
pulls he over to the large water dish and he throws her in! Splash!

(We had planned to buy one of Vickie McKimmey's kits because I have read
so many good people OTHER than Vickie praising the health of their ferret
family members who came from her JB Ferrets. It means a lot to me when
people who have nothing to gain and have established names say such
things about someone else's ferrets so that is why we were planning on
one of her kits.)
