I happened to be a Pediatrician and it gives me the impression of what they
call in humans a hemolytic anemia where red cells are destroyed by
antibodies made by their own immune system.  Would prednisone help?  Do you
have the specific name of the disease?  I can ask some of my colleagues (a
hematologyst).  Let me kbnow.
