It has been such a long time (at least a year) since I've gone to a ferret
show for a whole day.  If anyone on the FML is an hour or three from the
Pittsburg PA area this Saturday, I'd love for you to come visit the STAR*
table at the Three Rivers Ferret Show & Conference, Oakmont, PA, (for
directions: 412-431-2830, [log in to unmask]).
 
I'm traveling out 4-5 hours today to spend an entire Saturday with ferret
folk.  I'm having a grand custom 4 level cage made and delivered at the
show for my fuzzies, and I'll be judging some specialty rings (my "famous"
Mitt system, as well as chocolates and medium silvers).  I'll also be
lecturing on how judges look at ferrets and will be doing a mock
championship judging ring but telling you, the audience, all the comments
judges normally whisper to their stewards.
 
My table will be filled with back issues of STAR* newsletters, Modern
Ferrets and a few Fancy publications.  I'll be makeing discount deals on
STAR* subscriptions and will have my FERRET CARE & RESCUE book and my
children's book, The Fairfax Ferret, there for signing.  I also have one of
those "picnic basket" pet carriers to raffel off for STAR* education fund
raising.
 
And there is more - I'm bringing TONS of donations for the TRFC raffel
table - soft sided pet carrier, framed and matted ferret art, ferret
figurines, etc.  In other words, I'm cleaning house and these items
MUST GO!
