well i have been out of town for the past few weeks and have been unable to
reply to the Pet store and ferrets comment. One, MF only gives (or sells
rather) ferrets that are NOT gentically code right (make sense?) the ones
that are are given (sold) to labs for tests (like rabbits and mice). All
but two of our ferrets are MF ferrets and I see nothing wrong with getting
MF ferrets from pet stores. After talking to many breeders and hearing the
same story about MF I feel like I am saveing ferrets by buying them. I know
this letter will more than likely start flame mail, but I feel it is a fact
offten over looked about MF ferrets. MF ferrets are not more likely to die
than others from other breeders. Of all our ferrets the 2 that have died in
early age were NOT MF ferrets. Our MF ferrets have lived long lives. So
what is so wrong about buying them from pet stores? Is saveing a ferret
life a wrong thing to do? Most pet stores will have ferrets (and any
animal) put down if not sold with in a certian time frame.
