Hi Renee,
Since you are having a problem with your cats using the ferrets' corner
pans, did you even consider buy a couple of those ferret litter pans that
have covers on them?  They look like they would be great for your small
fuzzies, but that the opening would be too small for your cats to bother
crawling in them.  It will also keep you from having to wipe up after them
all the time.  Just a thought, good luck!
