Now that Persephone has been better about a week, we picked out a
companion for her yesterday. We now share the house with a silver mitt
sprite named Pandora. My breeder, Chris Mathis, also runs a shelter and
Pandora was a rescue. She and Persephone played pretty well together at
Chris's when we picked her out. Most of this morning was great- but
Pandora horned in on one of Persephone's sacred spaces and we had an
all-out squabble. Pandora sprayed (right after we had washed both of them-
of course), and Persephone is still sulking. The cats are utterly appalled
by all the goings-on and stay on high ground looking smug and superior.
What a Sunday morning- wouldn't trade for the world.
