I wonder if anybody else saw the sitcom I saw a week or so ago. My sisters-in-
law taped a fragment - which is why I didn't catch it's name. The show is about
a single father (TV sportscaster) who's raising two small girls with the
help of two other adult (well, this is TV) men. One of whom is a pest
exterminator. The main thread of the story was someone doing a TV spot on
the father, but the secondary thread was more interesting. The little
girls were being frightened periodically thru the show by a noise from a
"monster" that can best be described as a very high pitched "tarzan yell".
The pest exterminator identified the noise as something like "A Great
American White-footed Ferret" - a really dangerous pest that had to be
exterminated. At the very end of the show, the other "helper" finally
persuaded the exterminator "helper" not to kill it. After some running
around the room and other antics, the guy "caught" it. A great big
white-footed male ferret. Looked just like Toby. The guy made a big
play about "fighting" with it, but, the ferret was about as laid-back as
I've ever seen one. I think it was licking him at one point. The show
ended with them carrying the "dangerous monster" off stage-right.

Interesting enough, I'm pretty sure that this series is filmed in California -
where ferrets are illegal.

Has anybody got a more complete list of where ferrets have appeared in
film? I've seen 'em in:

        - Beast Master (the two ferrets were stars of the show - they only
made one mistake - they were both males - how did one of them
have a litter of kits at the end? Not a bad movie though - it
was one of the contributing reasons why we "got into" ferrets
          in the first place)
        - Poltergeist II (I'm not sure of this)
        - At least one of the Ewok Adventures.
